If a waitlist is full or "closed," when will it open?
A waitlist spot will re-open when a student drops from a discussion section or lecture.
When will students drop?
We cannot predict when and why students would drop. It can happen at any time for any given reason. One student might drop at 5 PM on Thursday of Week 8 because they found are other courses they're interested in. Another student may drop at 2 AM on the in the second week of class after realizing their course load is too heavy.
How will I know if a student drops? How can I get notified?
We do not have a notification system for this. You will have to manually refresh the course listing to see when the lecture/discussion is not "Closed."
What should I do while I am waitlisted?

If you get onto the waitlist for any lower or upper division course, we will accept you into the class on Friday of Week 2 of Spring 2026 after our doors close. You should attend the course lectures or discussions as though you're already enrolled.
