What’s the difference between MATH 31A and 31AL?

My placement score was not high enough to place me into Math 1, 31AL, 3A, or 31A. What do I do?
When can I enroll into the course I was placed in?
New incoming students will be enrolled on during orientation under the guidance of their New Student Advisors (NSA's).
Continuing students should be able to enroll the following day after 6 AM. MPT scores typically sync with the enrollment system at 6 AM every morning. However, due to occasional unresolved technical difficulties, some scores can take 3 days to sync.
Summer Session students can enroll into Math 1 or 31A before taking the MPT. Undergraduate math advisors will directly email summer session students a 10-character code in order to start the assessment with a deadline of when they should complete the test by. Missing this deadline will result in summer session students getting dropped from the course.
